Privacy Policy

The invoice generator and every template on this site run entirely on your own device. When you fill in a client name, an amount or a bank account number, that data is processed by JavaScript in your browser and the resulting file is written straight to your device. It is not transmitted to Solo Paperwork, not stored on a server, and not visible to anyone else.

This is a consequence of how the site is built rather than a promise about how we behave: Solo Paperwork is a static site with no application server and no database. There is nowhere for your invoice data to go. Closing the tab discards it.

None of it includes what you type into a tool:

• Analytics. Google Analytics records pages viewed, approximate location derived from IP address, device and browser type, and how you arrived at the site. It also records when a template is downloaded and when an outbound partner link is clicked — the file name and the destination domain, never the contents of anything you filled in. Google sets cookies to do this.
• Email. If you email me, I have your email address and whatever you wrote. I keep it as long as needed to deal with your message and do not add you to any list.

Some outbound links to third-party products are affiliate links, meaning I may earn a commission if you sign up. These are labelled on the page where they appear. Clicking one takes you to that company's site, where their privacy policy applies rather than this one. No information about what you typed into a tool is passed along.

The site is hosted on Amazon Web Services (S3 and CloudFront) in the United States. As with any web host, requests may be logged with an IP address and user agent for operational and security purposes. Those logs are not used to build a profile of you and are not combined with anything else.

If you are in the EU or UK, you have the right to ask what personal data is held about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to or restrict processing, and to receive it in a portable format. You can also withdraw consent for cookies at any time through your browser settings.

In practice the only personal data I hold directly is whatever is in an email you sent me. Analytics and advertising data is held by Google, and their tools linked above are the fastest route to controlling it. To exercise any right, email node.woodrow@gmail.com. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information is collected and for what purpose, to request deletion, to correct inaccurate information, and not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights.

Solo Paperwork does not sell or share your personal information as those terms are defined by the CCPA. Advertising is served by Google using cookies as described above; the opt-out links in the advertising section apply. To make a request, email node.woodrow@gmail.com.

This site is aimed at people running a business and is not directed at children under 13. No personal information is knowingly collected from children. If you believe a child has provided information, email me and I will delete it.

If this policy changes materially — for example if a new analytics or advertising provider is added — the date at the bottom of this page will be updated. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the revised policy.
